A Webster Park Graduation Party that Was Anything but Basic

Two Times the Grad Party Fun at Webster Park
This graduation party was held at the Jamieson Ritter Memorial Lodge inside Webster Park—a popular choice for Rochester families planning a park grad party.
And this one was doubly special. There were two grads to celebrate! Twins Aiden and Austin.
With a large open layout to work with, our goal was to ground the space visually while still keeping the flow easy for guests to mingle, eat, and celebrate both grads equally.
The solution? Two strong focal points on opposite ends of the lodge to balance the room and guide the guest experience from start to finish.
A Show-Stopping Balloon Moment
One end of the lodge featured a large-scale balloon installation designed and installed by Make It Pop Events. This instantly set the tone when guests walked in and gave the grads a bold, celebratory backdrop that felt fun, modern, and photo-ready.
Next to the balloon installation, we created an interactive photo area with:
playful graduation-themed prop cutouts
two photo books—one for each grad
polaroid cameras for guests to snap photos and leave notes
It was such a meaningful way for friends and family to participate in the celebration and create keepsakes the grads can look back on for years to come.
Food, Favors, And A Clever Candy Bar
On the opposite end of the park lodge, the food and favors area anchored the space.
The buffet—catered by Moe’s—made serving a crowd easy and stress-free, while still feeling festive and filling for guests of all ages.
Nearby, an adorable candy bar setup added personality and charm. Large jars filled with colorful candy sat atop rustic wood slabs, each paired with playful grad-themed signage:
suckers – so long, suckers
starbursts – reach for the stars
tootsie rolls – honor rolls
smarties – aren’t you a smartie
Guests could grab their favorites and create their own sweet mix to enjoy during the party or take home.
Desserts By The Fireplace
For dessert, we leaned into one of this Webster Park Lodge’s best features: the large stone fireplace.
A custom cake from Sweet Spells Roc was displayed front and center, surrounded by wrapped sweets like chocolate-dipped Rice Krispie treats and chocolate-dipped pretzels for guests to take home.
This setup felt cozy, elevated, and intentional—proof that even park lodges have architectural moments worth highlighting with the right styling.
Simple Details That Pulled This Park Grad Party Together
Throughout the lodge, simple balloon centerpieces were used on food tables to keep the decor cohesive without overwhelming the space. Outside, an additional balloon display welcomed guests and tied the celebration together from the moment they arrived.
Every element was designed to feel festive but approachable—perfect for a summer grad party at a park lodge or community center.
And the best part? These grads’ parents got to be fully present in this core memory, not worried about all the details.
